Attempting to rewind the republican party to the state it was in immediately before Trump took over and expecting the same thing to not happen again is certainly within the realm of possible human thoughts.

The problem is that liberals don't see Trump as a product of what came beforehand, they don't see anything as a sequence of events leading from one to another. They see them as totally isolated things and if you just prevent the bad man then nothing else would happen. Bad things happen because of bad men and absolutely no thought about what produced them occurs because they are not materialists.
They will recreate the exact circumstances that produce fascism over and over again.

It's confusing how prevalent this mindset is given that it seems to fly in the face of the very basic human desire to understand why things happen. Like a deliberately cultivated form of blindness.

Am I correct in thinking that, as much harm as he's done internally (which he has and I don't think it's helpful to ignore how much harm he's done especially to minorities and workers), and as uncouth as he is, Trump has been obviously better for much of the rest of the world than pretty much any other recent president, so much so that he's probably "better", overall, than most if not all of them.
That may change with his actions in Venezuela but at this point...
