"The Hearth's Warming Club"

…The fourth Hearth's Warming episode, and we're watching it just a bit over a month before Christmas, how's that. This episode was based on The Breakfast Club (1985) and depicts the Young Six bonding over memories of home as Twilight Sparkle tries to figure out who ruined the holiday decorations. I remember thinking this was a fun 'un.

"Friendship University"

…Flim and Flam start a titular Friendship University, and Starswirl the Bearded enrolls at it to Twiliight Sparkle's dismay. This episode is the penultimate speaking appearance of both Chancellor Neighsay and the Flim-Flam Brothers. This episode also has our first musical number of the night.

"The End in Friend"

…Rarity and Rainbow Dash question why they're friends given they have so little in common. Not the most memorable episode, to be honest.

"Yakity-Sax"

…Pinkie Pie gets into bagpiping. Which is to say she starts playing bagpipes, the musical instrument. More specifically a Yak variant known as the yovidaphone. What did you think I meant?! Pervert.

"Road to Friendship"

…This episode has a banger musical number. It's a Trixie and Starlight episode loaded with "these ponies are bucking" energy, as the two travel by wagon to Saddle Arabia for Trixie's magic show there.

"The Washouts"

…Scootaloo becomes fixated on a titular group of stuntponies. I frankly don't remember this episode at all, despite the fact that it was apparently significant for the development of Scootaloo and Rainbow Dash's relationship.

You might also notice that the Washout in the attached thumbnail is Lightning Dust of all ponies, who we last saw in S3E7 "Wonderbolts Academy". So there's a bit of history between her and Rainbow Dash, they didn't exactly leave each others' lives on good terms back in season 3. :::
