Tinpis Run is a 94-minute road comedy-drama movie from Papua New Guinea^[IMDb also lists France, Belgium, and the UK as countries of origin.], released in 1991. The plot description on IMDb reads,

"Papa", one of the chiefs of a tribe in the highlands, is taxi driver of a "Tinpis"^[The word "tinpis" comes from English "tinned fish"; Tok Pisin is an English-derived creole language.], a collective bush-taxi. Saved from an accident by Naaki, a young man from the city, he offers him his daughter in thanks. Johanna and Naaki, however, refuse that their happiness be decided by her father, even though they have already fallen in love.

TMDB describes the film as, "A man encounters colorful characters while driving a taxi in Papua New Guinea." Rowan Sullivan of Filmroot.com says that Tinpis Run is a lighthearted, Don Quixote-esque story, which nevertheless has themes exploring the effects of colonialism on PNG.
