[cw transphobia] New York Times when cis vs when trans

My favorite part is where it implies testosterone makes women better at hustle-grinding:
right after they prepare a high-protein dinner for their family and before they put the finishing touches on their spreadsheets, close their laptops and light a few mood candles for the sex that they know will be great
Cis people canβt help but do bioessentialism I guess

Mild to hot take: I think making a child going through puberty when they don't understand what it entails or don't want the effects of it is a normalised form of abuse

la_tasalana_intissari_mata [comrade/them] - 8mon

aren't several of the hair loss thing microdosing hrt?

They use finasteride, which blocks the conversion of serum testosterone into DHT, which is responsible for hair loss. It's sometimes prescribed alongside estrogen and another anti-androgenic (if necessary) for the same purpose (hair loss prevention) so I wouldn't call finasteride feminizing HRT, just adjacent to it. π€

Pretty sure some wealthy hogs used estrogen therapy in some anti-COVID cocktail.
It's from 4chan/r9k/incels afaik. Or at least they're the ones who popularized it recently. It's kind of mainstream now I guess? But that's the roots from what I remember.

Yuck. My bad.
Like "removed" and its variants, sliding back into mainstream vernacular via the shittiest parts of the net. I'll do better.

Yeah, even without the roots it has a bad vibe to me.
You're probably right. Or maybe racist. Neither is acceptable and I'm not sure why I typed that particular portmanteau when there are so many other ways to disparage the landlord class. Sorry about that.

Some of these cis women don't know what they're messing with, I've seen several say testosterone doesn't effect women the way it does men and they won't masculinize even from ridiculous dosages (basically cis man levels). Lmao, good luck with your voice dropping and facial hair I guess. Won't listen.

honestly i support womens wrongs (taking T and getting nasty with it). i just hope they can change their body the way they want the same that i should be able to.

BountifulEggnog [it/its, she/her] - 8mon
Yea that's great, no problem with that and obviously support them. But there's at least some of them who refuse to believe testosterone could actually effect a person's body and take way too much.

yeah thats not great then :β

maybe cis people will develop empathy when they experience a little cross-sex gender dysphoria for themselves.

Unfortunately, some might find they like they changes or are neutral about them and somehow assume that just means transfems are wrong rather than maybe reflected that they never really identified with their AGAB to begin with...

There will be friendly fire. Iβm definitely toast. So long itβs been nice knowing yβall please have fun and stuff without me.
