There are many people who are capable of understanding injustice when it happen to them and theirs but cannot realise it when it is done far away. We are all guilty of it to some extent, but some more than others.

how desert land almost can be transformed into an oasis of brotherhood and democracy.
Classic Zionist trope of "making the desert bloom" to imply that the land was barren before the settlers arrived, further dehumanizing its indigenous inhabitants.
There are some who are color-consumed and they see a kind of mystique in being colored, and anything non-colored is condemned.
