kelly Putting the cartel before the horse

AOCapitulator [they/them, she/her] - 1mon

Genuinely one of the best of these I've seen all year

21
30_to_50_Feral_PAWGs [she/her] - 1mon

catgirl-salute I'M DOING MY PART!

13
ClimateStalin [they/them, he/him] - 1mon

Surely two ground invasions of countries that are capable of striking within the continental US will go just fine

54
jack [he/him, comrade/them] - 1mon

Let's see him go ahead and invade Canada while he's at it

40
ClimateStalin [they/them, he/him] - 1mon

Also Venezuela is a part of the Rio Pact (and so is the US actually), an “attack on one is an attack on all” mutual defense pact, which includes almost all of South America.

33
Llituro [he/him, they/them] - 1mon

surely attempting two separate ground invasions is sane behavior

49
Collatz_problem [comrade/them] - 1mon

Name more iconic duo than fascists and two-front war.

47
SkingradGuard [he/him, comrade/them] - 1mon

Fascists and a three front war!

28
SacredExcrement [any, comrade/them] - 1mon

Fascists and getting owned

22
MayoPete [he/him, comrade/them] - 1mon

Watching this country get double teamed by two failed invasions at once is gonna be so funny...

Also I know it's an excuse for racism, but surely some conservatives have to wonder why people end up on drugs? Maybe solving the source of the problem instead of fighting symptoms would be better 🤔

Maybe this is why this stuff can drive me insane. No one thinks about things beyond the surface level!

39
Collatz_problem [comrade/them] - 1mon

some conservatives have to wonder why people end up on drugs

Their answer is eugenics.

28
XxFemboy_Stalin_420_69xX [none/use name] - 1mon

if they thought about why people do things or why things happen, they wouldn't be conservatives

7
hotcouchguy [he/him] - 1mon

two failed invasions at once

mission-accomplished

5
Awoo [she/her] - 1mon

US propaganda machine will not be able to propagandise 2 wars simultaneously, it already struggles with one.

36
SkingradGuard [he/him, comrade/them] - 1mon

Is it struggling though?

14
Awoo [she/her] - 1mon

Barely hanging onto Ukraine narratives. Failed to control Palestine narratives. Lost control of anti-China narratives.

Hell yeah it's struggling.

27
SkingradGuard [he/him, comrade/them] - 1mon

Barely hanging onto Ukraine narratives

Really not seeing this, chuds are split 50/50 but every lib is a diehard slava Ukraina.

Failed to control Palestine narratives

I'd agree with this

Lost control of anti-China narratives.

This is so-so. Only the libs that went to rednote seem to be less racist about it. The rest think China killed every Muslim in the country. Chuds are all pro-nuking China because communism and Chinese bad.

11
purpleworm [none/use name] - 1mon

Really not seeing this, chuds are split 50/50

This is still pretty important to a Republican administration

8
cfgaussian @lemmygrad.ml - 1mon

It may be more than that among the Republican base. There's a split between base and political elites about Ukraine support there the same way there's a growing split in the Democratic party between base and elites on Palestine.

2
Des [she/her, they/them] - 1mon

hard to struggle if the only effort is typing a prompt into Sora

12
AOCapitulator [they/them, she/her] - 1mon

This level of cringe felt appropriate

33
小莱卡 - 1mon

If the US can't deal with drug dealers in their own country, what makes them think they will be able to hit them in México lmao, it's obviously BS to justify an unjustifiable military invasion.

33
spudnik [he/him, they/them] - 1mon

Dawg they can't even keep drugs out of the prisons

14
Jabril [none/use name] - 1mon

So he's sending troops to Nigeria, Mexico and Venezuela at the same time while also gearing up for another Israel / Iran conflict opening up and troops not getting paid?

sit-back-and-enjoy

31
BGDelirium [he/him] - 1mon

Not to mention stationing ICE/National Guard in DC, LA, Portland and Chicago.

And making sure to keep Japan, South Korea, the Philippines, Taiwan and various Pacific Island bases to keep Chinese influence in check.

20
spudnik [he/him, they/them] - 1mon

Greenland is up there going side-eye-1

18
NuraShiny [any] - 1mon

While also (begrudgingly) giving support to Ukraine, yes. Nothing could go wrong.

15
FloridaBoi [he/him] - 1mon

JSOC turf war? They just want a bigger slice of the drug trade

30
nefertum - 1mon

Everyone I know here has a gun, good luck with that

30
Azarova [they/them] - 1mon

i wonder how much of this south america adventurism bullshit is an attempt to manufacture a real migration/refugee crisis to bolster the legitimacy of ICE

28
LeeeroooyJeeenkiiins [none/use name] - 1mon

i'm honestly surprised there haven't been more instances of "cartels behead a bunch of border patrol crackers" but I guess the cartels probably haven't wanted to antagonize them further

23
came_apart_at_Kmart [he/him, comrade/them] - 1mon

it would not surprise me if a shitload of CBP crackers are in the pocket of some cartels already. an embarassing amount of their security forces are ex-military. hell, one of the cartels was founded by ex-military that were specifically trained by the US supposedly for drug interdiction. it's amazing how the skillset of state sponsored terror dovetail with independent, for-profit terror.

i'm pretty sure any targets the US decides to strike in mexico are going to be unrelated to cartel activity, and be focused on destabilization of the civil order to induce a coup for a government that will more eagerly lick the boot of american empire... so potentially a comprador government that is more integrated with the cartel.... organized crime syndicates with influence over undemocratic governments tend towards reactionary politics.

32
marxisthayaca [he/him,they/them] - 1mon

I expect to see a newly minted opposition leader in the next few weeks in the American press.

16

New interim president of Mexico
::: spoiler spoiler guaido :::

8
purpleworm [none/use name] - 1mon

it would not surprise me if a shitload of CBP crackers are in the pocket of some cartels already

Considering that most drugs that enter the US through the southern border go through checkpoints rather than being snuck through in the middle of the desert or whatever, this is probably true.

14
THEPH0NECOMPANY [he/him, comrade/them] - 1mon

CBP just uses us-foreign-policy as their security check so all the drugs are just smuggled by flashbang in a stripped out sedan.

12
ClimateStalin [they/them, he/him] - 1mon

Yeah the vast majority are just hidden in normal ass cars driven by white US citizens who aren’t even paused

4
Rom [he/him] - 1mon

So is this while he's not paying them or

21
TheSovietOnion [none/use name] - 1mon

This whole thing feels like that slimy salesman technique of exaggerating your demands so that you negotiate down into what you actually want.

"I'll explode Iran, Venezuela, Mexico AND Nigeria!😈😈😈"

...

"Ok we've got a deal, I'll explode only Mexico and half Venezuela, let's shake hands on it no backsies 😌"

Wait it's the 3 cup game with Mexico, Venezuela and Nigeria? Is wall street making bets which one US will attack?

8
plinky [he/him] - 1mon

i'm very scared they'll do about face and attack cuba first, assets for venezuela and cuba don't look that different desolate
