Comrades… today might be our last night with a roof.

cross-posted from: https://hexbear.net/post/6597309

Comrades… today is our last day. The caretaker said he’s coming back anytime today, but we don’t know when. We’re just praying for a miracle before the day ends.

We’ve been fetching water outside just to survive since ours was cut off. The only thing we’ve had for days is boiled water with sugar. My sisters keep smiling like everything’s okay, but I can see how weak they’re getting.

For anyone new here….we’re nine trans refugee sisters who fled Uganda after passing of anti-gay law. We ended up in juba South Sudan, but we were attacked again. Comrades here saved our lives once after our shelter was burned in the camp . I’ll never forget that kindness, and one day I hope to help others the way you helped me and my sisters.

Right now, what’s left to clear our rent is 552 USD. If we can’t pay, we’ll be thrown out again. Anything extra will go toward food.

If you can’t donate, please share this with any trans or queer community that might want to help. Even $5 or $10 makes a difference. Support link in my bio. With love and hope, always ❤️🖤❤️
