Timberborne's seem to at least be centrally planned which is cool with what seems to be a council government. not sure if that's changed in the more current updates.

Yea once in a while I'll entertain what animals could replace humans if we were no longer around, besides the obvious of "other primates." Elephants and cetaceans sure seem like contenders in intelligence but without hands I don't see how'd they manipulate the natural environment enough. Beavers or squirrels seem like the next type of animals that have the particular kind of intelligence and limbs to alter their surroundings.

I'd believe it for the corvid intelligence, and I've heard they'll use sticks in their beaks like a tool, but that still leaves them hand-less. I've heard of people, even posters on this very site!, befriending their local crow populations and I am envious.

I love that they have rust coloured teeth because their teeth are iron-based

there's a park I visit regularly that has a beaver dam and lodge in it, and last time there were huge rains the dam was washed out and the entrance to the lodge was exposed. that allowed predators or maybe domesticated dogs to get in and some time after that my child found a dead adult beaver out in the park. I was really concerned that the lodge was done. however, the last time I visited I saw that the dam was pretty much rebuilt and there was a new lodge with fresh tracks/signs of wood chopping. they're such wonderful animals

Good thing this site isn't called Hexbeaver, because downbeaver suggests something entirely different from downbear.
