"Among our 90 participants we repeatedly used 3D-scanning techniques to measure breast volume and saw up to an increase of 30%. Crucially, we also saw that the study participants were more satisfied with the size, shape and the growth of their breasts compared to participants who did not use progesterone,” adds Raya Geels, PhD candidate at Amsterdam UMC and the study’s first author.

Wish it had worked on me. I was on it for years with no real progress. I think genetics definitely take a significant role too and if your genes say no big booba, then no big booba for you.

Is there a link to the paper? I may have just missed it. I'd like to be fully armed for my first hrt related appointment.

I can't find the study either. Searching the author on google scholar just shows what looks like the initial study protocol . So maybe they haven't published it yet?

There's a few other / older studies about this, might be able to find some online
In my experience appointments processed like so
initial consultation, consent forms, two weeks to 'think about it', blood tests etc in that time. Theyll ask you to preserve eggs / sperm, its expensive i didn't bother. Youll start on a v small dose and itll be raised over 6-12 months, progesterone isn't recommended until later tanner stages, 3 or 4 i can't remember
and i can't remember that seppo doctors name who was famous on reddit back in 2019
good luck :)

Almost a year on HRT. Should I add it? And can you drop Bica when you're on prog?
7
BountifulEggnog [she/her] - 3mon
Yes, great time to add it. Most doctors make you wait until 1 year from what I've heard. Prog is only a very mild anti androgen, not enough to replace it. You could always switch to injections (maybe patches?) if you want to drop the AA.

I take 4mg of oestrogen valate a day and stopped taking AA's back in 2021 because they made me miserable, and weak.
A friend of mine who was taking way too much cyperotone also damaged their liver, they took 25mg a day, i took 7~ mg twice a week - i cbf spell checking the medications sorry
::: spoiler Tap for spoiler - gentiles
Suppressing my T also atrophied my junk, make sure youre stimulating bloodflow down there. Coming off AA gave me some 'bottom growth' heh - girth
:::
That's just say that you don't need to take AAs, you don't need to have the hormone 'levels of a cis person', having higher levels of T is something I've come to appreciate. I don't pass, its easier to exist as a man 90% of the time, I don't feel any less like myself and I sometimes laugh about it, it can still be upsetting though
I did take progesterone for a while but I don't think i ended up finishing the script, it might have helped breast growth but not enough to notice, I dont think I was eating enough at the time, I was stressing about having to come out at work, it was a whole thing
that and i was in a pretty controlling relationship yay
sorry that's a lot of text, second talking to a doctor about HRT if you can, most of them are pretty good about it, even the ones who are learning

I'm so happy for you ladies!, says I, un-chaser-ishly.
Jokes aside I am happy when anyone can get the gender supporting care they need, also reading about trans hormone support is how I learned about spiro which can help with PCOS which seems pretty not-rare for cis women.
