Hello nerds, i hope you all have a good next week catgirl-happy

White queers not getting why I'd rather be in a room of 1,000 Black cishet people over a tiny circle of 5 white queers in and of itself proves my point.

18
Wmill [they/them, fae/faer] - 5mon

I feel this, do wish I had more queer poc friends tho

15
la_tasalana_intissari_mata [comrade/them] - 5mon

Welp, thanks to all of you idiots that didn't want to vote for Mussolini, Hitler won the election

17
hello_hello [comrade/them] - 5mon

It hurts reading nerdy trans tech blogs and then getting gut punched with anticommunist brainworms. They'll whine about how "win-it-all capitalism" is bad and then in their next article use the Stalin-Yezhov photo as the "most famous example" of clean-up photo editing.

This is what I get for reading white people's writing kitty-birthday-sad

17
Frogmanfromlake [none/use name] - 5mon

“Crackkkerpoints” and “Ethan Klein ‘wife guyed’ himself into being a neo-nazi” are my favorite takes right now.

16
la_tasalana_intissari_mata [comrade/them] - 5mon

I'm loving the hate their getting, I'm not a person who enjoys drama or sloptubers, but for some reason it's really enjoyable.

14
Frogmanfromlake [none/use name] - 5mon

Its nice to see after years of the internet defending racist whites like Pewdiepie

16
Angel [any] - 5mon

Relax! It was just a heated gamer moment! Chill out!

la_tasalana_intissari_mata [comrade/them] - 5mon

durings [none/use name] - 5mon

having a really hard time coping with loneliness and facing the facts that people would rather be friends with people who are agreeable, passive, and "easy to digest" at best, and literal SAers and fascists at worse, over me. they may even complain about these "friendships" to me and then continue to invest more time in them.

hard to trust peoples words at all anymore. i don't want to live like this. maybe it's actually a blessing that i have no attachments to this place community wise

16
Belly_Beanis [he/him] - 5mon

It's something I know I've experienced my whole life. People are okay catering to bigots' feelings because they don't want to get confrontational. This just makes bigots feel like what they're saying is true, so they continue their shitty behavior. When someone does confront their behavior, it blows up because the bigot isn't used to hearing someone disagree. Now the person who called things out is the bad guy. Never the fuckwad who thinks "That's just locker room talk."

"It is not enough to be not racist in a racist society. One must be actively anti-racist."

12
Frogmanfromlake [none/use name] - 5mon

Browsing American social media has shown me US poc have no standards when dating ugly ass whites but every poc they date needs to look like a god damn model to even have a chance

15
la_tasalana_intissari_mata [comrade/them] - 5mon

It's classism, the white one is usually the richer one and when talking about the third world is always the richer one even if they're poor.

12
vegeta1 [he/him] - 5mon

Lol then its celebrated like they landed the royal family even if its person from bumfuck nowhere

12
Wmill [they/them, fae/faer] - 5mon

Been carrying around some of those red cards the ones that say to ICE "I do not consent to a search" etc. I really don't know how much it'll help but it gives me some ease also got some for my parents to have on hand. Seeing an article of how ICE agents are pretty much in it for treats doesn't not surprise me one bit amerikkka

15
hello_hello [comrade/them] - 5mon

The treats aren't even that good, I remember reading about detention center guards who have to work 80+ hour weeks for no benefits.

It's just a terrible country where it's either that or you fall into a spiral of despair. Become a nazi to save yourself type country.

Death to Seppoland.

13
Wmill [they/them, fae/faer] - 5mon

yea this country sucks, I got some training in the hopes I find something but goddamn I keep getting offers on indeed for border patrol/secret service/fbi agent general pig fuckery not interested.

11
la_tasalana_intissari_mata [comrade/them] - 5mon

Stupidest fucking thing colonizers say is "we developed the area, we built roads and..." motherfucker you think we don't know how to build a road? if I rob your house and build a second toilet in it for me am I doing you good?

15
Frogmanfromlake [none/use name] - 5mon

Their roads are shit too with all the poptholes. Meanwhile the Mayan built roads are still largely intact with the only damage done by tourists.

11
la_tasalana_intissari_mata [comrade/them] - 5mon

there's not a place on earth that colonizers touched and it became better

10
vegeta1 [he/him] - 5mon

Sadly a lot of colonized sprout this shit too. Even though it was purely for extraction and exploitation not for the benefit of the people.

9
vegeta1 [he/him] - 5mon

Chuds talk about the left using lived experience as a weapon yet they use lived experience over and over to justify this genocide, to justify mistreatment of minorities, xenophobia. Their whole ideology is some warped lived experience immune to reality

15
Belly_Beanis [he/him] - 5mon

lol it's like when chuds talk about being the only white kid at school and since they got bullied, that made them racist. Or they talk about how black people never tip, so that's why they never give good service.

"Is me being racist why minorities treat me like shit? No, obviously I'm racist because it's their fault for being mean."

15
vegeta1 [he/him] - 5mon

shit or doctors deciding black people have higher pain tolerance. thats-why-im-confused Mfs making assumptions of latina women being "fiery" due to third hand stories thats-why-im-confused Mfs don't even need to live that shit just hear old wives tales. If someone told em x group grew wings they'd be writing congress to investigate 🤣

11
la_tasalana_intissari_mata [comrade/them] - 5mon

"immigrants commit more crime"
-proof "my third cousin's dog got his treats stolen by an african sloughi"

11
vegeta1 [he/him] - 5mon

Legit wondered if the superman movie would be released in the US since its a movie about an immigrant i-cant Hell chuds are mad about the movie being about kindness

12
thelastaxolotl [he/him] - 5mon

They will tell you superman is good because he is white christian american but if you post the smallville clip of clark calling himself an undocumented migrant they will start crying

10
vegeta1 [he/him] - 5mon

Wait until they find out how Superman smashes the klan was instrumental in exposing the KKK badly. And that the creators of Superman are jewish. They will go belly up in rage

11
Dessa [she/her] - 5mon

I didn't know this

7
vegeta1 [he/him] - 5mon

No wonder chuds seem to hate that superman movie. He's an "illegal immigrant" working on a farm i-cant

10
thelastaxolotl [he/him] - 5mon

I havent watch it, but if J. Gunn is a real one he would focus on the "superman is an undocumented migrant" angle

10
Rojo27 [he/him] - 5mon

I recently saw a meme where one panel had Spiderman saying "treat minorities with respect" with a kid admiring him in 1994, then the next panel was Spiderman saying the same thing but now the kid is grown up in 2025 and he's raging at how Spiderman is woke and he wasnt like this when he was a kid.

Lesson being, Spiderman didn't change, the kid just grew up to be a chud.

9
vegeta1 [he/him] - 5mon

"Leftist do lived experience" Buys that bullshit trump said about Haitian eating pets or right wing news articles about cannibals thats-why-im-confused

11
Lussy [he/him, des/pair] - 5mon

They have one bad interaction with a brown skinned person and it’s hitler time but god forbid make a stereotype about them

7
Wmill [they/them, fae/faer] - 5mon

It always feels odd when I talk to white people about racism since I usually feel a need to soothe things over or doubt my own perceptions around them. It's either no engagement or being dismissed and both kinda suck. I guess the latter sucks more when I mention something get dismissed and someone else says it and they agree. One example I remember saying was the racism in the yakuza series and my friends dismissing me for it being a crime game but when another white friend mentioned it they were like "you're on to something there." Sometimes I feel I'm kept around as amusement catgirl-flop and I'm too lonely to refuse.

14
Rojo27 [he/him] - 5mon

I was out on a trip and had needed to go to the restroom. There was a line for the women's restroom (all of them were white) and one of them had their 3-4 year old son complaining about wanting to see his dad, who was in the restroom, in front of the men's restroom. I stood around for a second seeing if she would move her son out of the way and I started yawning. I didn't hear what the kid was saying, but from out of nowhere the mother say "Oh sorry, he said the n-word". And I'm like "huh". And she wasn't even speaking to me, instead the other women on line. I just turned back around because I had no idea what the fuck she was on about, but if your 3-4 year old is just dropping the n-word out of nowhere then I think you might have a problemanti-cracker-aktion

14
la_tasalana_intissari_mata [comrade/them] - 5mon

They poison the well, they call you if you die of thirst, and if you get sick from it

14
durings [none/use name] - 5mon

and when you realize it's poisoned and that if you keep drinking it you'll only get sicker, you are ostracized for questioning the source, people feel insulted because they'd rather keep drinking the poisoned water because that's what they're used to doing and everyone else does it and now you're forced to find a clean well somewhere else instead of just banding together and cleaning out the well you already have.

11
vegeta1 [he/him] - 5mon

The leftist gaming club didn't gatekeep liberals, so of course they did a fundraiser for veterans on 4th. of July. It was a nice thought while it lasted.

Belly_Beanis [he/him] - 5mon

Definitely an example of what no theory does to a motherfucker. They're just going off vibes and aesthetics.

A lot of these blokes think pregnancy after SA is a blessing so of course they think colonialism and neocolonialism is a good thing.

14
Angel [any] - 5mon

Am I justified in getting a bad vibe from this message this British leftist sent me?

::: spoiler [CW: Islamophobic/Pinkwashing/New Atheist Vibe] Yeah I feel that. Ones thing that pisses me off with the left in the UK is the cosying up to radical muslims united only by pro-palestine and pro-workers rights. I’m sorry I don’t give a fuck how anti-genocide and anti-capitalism you are, if you think queer people are disgusting and women should be treated like slaves because “man in sky said so” I have no respect for you. :::

13
anarchoilluminati [comrade/them] - 5mon

Am I justified in getting a bad vibe from this message this British

Let me stop you there.

Yes.

13
la_tasalana_intissari_mata [comrade/them] - 5mon

::: spoiler spoiler “man in sky said so” the person knows nothing about Islam, not even the most basic part of it which is that Muslims don't see god as a man, and a "leftist" believing it's the fault of the religion or the believers of it for having reactionary ideas instead of the boot enforced on them, there's not a single Muslim country right now not facing either western interference or colonialism and comes with it illiteracy and the spread of reactionary misinformation, when Saudi Arabia doesn't attack israel even though Islam tells it to do so, they're not imprisoning gay people because Islam tells them.

An educated leftist should know -the difference between reactionary ideas of an oppressed group vs the reactionary ideas of the oppressors even if they share it
-Muslims in the UK are usually descendants of ex-UK colonies in Africa and south Asia.
-the effects of infiltration and propaganda funded by western governments against minorities.

Another observation: "cosying up to radical muslims" and "women should be treated like slaves" I don't see that in effect, I don't see leftists in the UK lining up shoulder to shoulder with ISIS and the likes, unless they mean by radical Muslims Hamas and the PIJ who don't believe that women should be treated like slaves, or this person believes any man with a beard is an Al Qaeda member.

but idk :::

12
vegeta1 [he/him] - 5mon

I'm not convinced this leftist is any different to the liberals who reduce all politics and world events to “people who yelled at me in the comments”

8
hello_hello [comrade/them] - 5mon

This person is not a leftist they're a liberal Zionist who we need to stay as far away from. This isn't a bad vibe, this is a confession of hatred.

Death to the UK.

Mi Gente is it time to leave the US? Like all bullshit aside is it time to get out financial consequences be damned?

I feel like "they just made the concentration camp budget 150 billion dollars" is as good an indicator as any. And even if it's not now there's no pathway I can see for improvement for this place. It will get there eventually.

12
Lemmygradwontallowme [he/him, comrade/them] - 5mon

Any time is a good time to get out of the U.S

12
thelastaxolotl [he/him] - 5mon

If you can leave you should, waiting until the current fash policies personally affects you could be very dangerous

9
Assian_Candor [comrade/them] - 5mon

Kinda hit me today talking to a coworker about how he has told his parents to start carrying their passports. And I was like yeah I've thought about it which is surreal to admit but that's when it sort of became concrete for me that I'm not safe here, citizen or no it doesn't matter you can get thrown on a plane and end up in ICE detention. Maybe you come back, maybe you don't.

9
anarchoilluminati [comrade/them] - 5mon

Truth is a passport isn't a guarantee either.

7
Frogmanfromlake [none/use name] - 5mon

Where do you have in mind?

9
Assian_Candor [comrade/them] - 5mon

Guate actually I have family there

I know it has its problems I have lived there before so going into it with both eyes open. What I'm not so sure on is if things are getting better or worse. With the way mexico is trending as the US continues to crumble I could see guate going either way

8
Frogmanfromlake [none/use name] - 5mon

You’re a chapín? How old were you when you lived here? I’ll be honest with you. If you think the US is fascist then you’re going to find it even worse here, especially if your family lives outside of the more left-leaning areas like Guatemala City.

Things at the moment are in a deadlock because of how bad the Right-Wing has infiltrated the government. The attorney general was given way too much power and has prevented anything good from passing. I personally think we could move in the same way as Mexico but it’s going to be decades of undoing the damage done from the right-wing in order for that to happen.

My department in particular has seen more left-wing activity increasing because of the work our org has put in but they still have a long way to go. Queer acceptance among them is low and there’s still a good level of sexism.

I would personally advise you to come here only if you have the means to live well. Or if you really, really want to help and not in the bullshit “build a house” missionary approach.

I heavily suggest Mexico, Belize, Nicaragua, or Costa Rica as alternatives. They still have issues but it’s much less than Guatemala.

Edit: I do want to add that I was a lot like you when I decided to come back. Spent my teenage and tween years in the US and came back after an injury ended my D1 athletic career. It was a huge adjustment after living in the US for as long as I did and I chose to stay in my hometown as rundown as it is which added even more to the culture shock. If you choose the city it might be less of an adjustment for you to make.

8
Belly_Beanis [he/him] - 5mon

If you think the US is fascist then you're going to find it even worse here

I think a lot of PoC in the US are wanting to leave because they're worried about racism leading to full-on genocide. People are probably thinking it will be easier to deal with fascism and reactionaries if they don't have to deal with randomly getting arrested for their skin color and sent to a concentration camp.

Personally, I'm not sure because of how things played out in Japan vs. Germany in WWII. Japan did its fair share of persecution of minorities in that time period, such as the Ainu and Okinawans. Or the mass murder of leftists carried out before the war. Yes, Germany carried out the Holocaust, something uniquely evil because of how methodical it was in murdering millions of people. But Japan made up for it in brutality and fervor. Leaving the US only to move somewhere that gets invaded by the US in its final attempts to survive is a whole other set of problems.

Dunno. It's frustrating living here and dealing with white people who are fucking useless.

7
Assian_Candor [comrade/them] - 5mon

It's 100% the risk of like, can I guarantee I will come home to my family? Even if I'm a citizen if I am in the wrong place at the wrong time can I get swept up? Or if they decide to start going after commies in earnest? Like you know they have our data, Snowden was 20 years ago. The risk is small admittedly but it is nonzero.

It's hard to know if I'm being cautious or alarmist.

6
Assian_Candor [comrade/them] - 5mon

I was afraid you would say that... I haven't lived there since the 90s but my parents moved back almost a decade ago. I would be fine from a money standpoint since I could probably find a way into earning USD by working remotely for US companies.

Like I get that it's less than ideal but I wouldn't run the risk of getting thrown into a van and disappeared. Also there would be the opportunity to contribute to helping folks in a meaningful way.

Its a shame guate ended up so fucked. God bless Amerikkka. At least it's not el Salvador which somehow bizarrely all the white folks seem to be in love with bukele even though they hate trump

6
Frogmanfromlake [none/use name] - 5mon

If your family lives in Guatemala City then you should be okay. Obviously stay out of certain zones because they can smell foreigners a mile away regardless of what you look like. People might recommend Antigua but that place might as well be “White People Land” with all the expats living over there. I would still recommend Mexico or Belize but if you still have the citizenship it wouldn’t hurt to give Guate a shot.

6
Angel [any] - 5mon

I will always call myself a leftist, but I sense that I'll never truly be comfortable with such a descriptor. I'm tired of all the white, performative bullshit. Most "leftists" I interact with seem like people who believe in entirely different things than I do.

12
Lussy [he/him, des/pair] - 5mon

People don’t eat out at restaurants because they save money.

While that’s true for me, my biggest reason is I don’t fucking like interacting with a vast majority of servers witht heir brainworms about ‘canadians’ and then having to fucking pay them for bad service

12
Frogmanfromlake [none/use name] - 5mon

Are you a Canadian living abroad?

6
Lussy [he/him, des/pair] - 5mon

In the food industry ‘Canadians’ is used as a euphemism for a racial slur.

11
vegeta1 [he/him] - 5mon

One thing that annoys me about bigots is the 150 million euphemisms they use because they're Chickenshit. Say it with your fucking chest punk.

Been getting good at spotting undercover cop cars, I do my best to behave whatever but yeah I'm on to them also on the mind games they be playing on me. Me chilling in the park see one cop car pass by as a we're watching you and then the under cover piggies driving by thumb-cop at least here in cali they got the exempt license plate that they try to hide that part with a dealer frame thing.

Looking forward to another day of training, mostly a lot of down time fixing up a office so gonna be listening to some audiobooks when I can or podcasts. Got my lunch ready mexican rice, frijoles de la olla and some carne de soya. Also got like an hour or two to kill when I get there so prob gonna get some study on hvac done. This whole grind to try to get a better lot in life is difficult keep hoping it's worth it in the end.

12
Angel [any] - 5mon

I remember growing up and thinking that most crackers were good and the bad ones were just an extremely tiny fraction of them because we all took care of the racists back in the 1960s, right? This shows you just how misleading our education system is.

Of course, I realized it's actually the opposite. Even when I meet a cracker who seemingly shows a lot of signs of "being one of the good ones," I still feel like they're racist as shit.

I've even had other Black leftists tell me that I'm too skeptical of white people. I really would hope that they, of all people, could understand the amount of damage that whiteness has done to me. I cannot even describe it here because 1) at this point, it's so heavy that I don't even feel like a CW/spoiler can prepare someone for the sheer weight of the racial trauma I have and 2) I can't even find the right words if I wanted to. It's just indescribably bad.

12
vegeta1 [he/him] - 5mon

Even the good ones I met ask them about my country or others in africa and....dear oh dear.

13

Joke I saw somewhere

A conservative man catches a magical talking goldfish who says to him "I will give you one wish of whatever you want, but your neighbor gets double whatever you wish for". The man thinks for a moment before coming up with what he thinks is the perfect wish for the situation and says, "I wish I was blind in one eye"

9
Angel [any] - 5mon

Saw an Instagram reel where a white woman said "the caucasity" and it made me cringe a billion different times in 70 dimensions all at once.

Yes. Yes it is. I got psychic backlash from this

10
durings [none/use name] - 5mon

well, after months of deliberation i finally bought a one way ticket to portugal and planning to slowly make my way from there to either asia or africa. still have a day to chicken out and refund but i mean i've been desperately searching for a reason to not just up and leave the country, the bar has been barely above the ground, and still haven't found even one reason so doubt anything will change in the next day.

i'm not necessarily looking forward to it, still trying to get past the "i wish things were different" mentality. just seems like the only thing left to do besides succumbing to hopelessness. i'm hoping the journey will alleviate my misanthropic thoughts and lead to finding my people, but i know it's best to not have any expectations. i'm also worried about what happens when i run out of the very little money i do have or potential prejudice especially in europe but fuck it i want to do less thinking and more action

the only thing i will miss is my computer. still thinking if i should even bring a laptop since i plan to mostly camp

How do you deal with how the western world view typically casts minorities as "exotic friendly little creatures" or "the devil. Literally demon beings."

Like, can you not see me as either please? Can you see me for me?

11
Angel [any] - 5mon

As someone who's been called an "Oreo" my whole damn life, I noticed that people are so quick to reduce Blackness down to a set of stereotypes, and if you don't align with these stereotypes in any way, they will see you as some "special" kind of person.

It's how cracKKKers act all the time when interacting with me.

The woman who referred me to her job got to her manager and said that he is still hiring for the position she referred me to but just has been busy and slow with checking. She said he should get back to me soon.

It seems to be an easy enough job, and the position has been open quite a bit, so if they really need someone to start working ASAP, I'm right here! JFC.

9
Wmill [they/them, fae/faer] - 5mon

At this point I'd rather hear something like "the cheek clapper" creepypasta than another goddamn skinwalker/wendigo/insert some other shit white people take and bastardize into their bs scary stories. At a certain point if you're gonna steal from other people's belief systems at least do a little research and put some effort in.

8
thelastaxolotl [he/him] - 5mon

one thing that pisses me off of the whitewashed skinwalker/wendigo stories is that they would work well as werewolf stories but for some reason writers dont like using them so they try to bastardise some native myth instead, its like if every vampire story used any undead creature to replace vampires

7
Wmill [they/them, fae/faer] - 5mon

I imagine a lot of it is just jumping on trends, werewolves are a solid pick I agree for most of the ones I've heard. The completely made up ones I prefer but they have to lend it credence by attaching it to something everyone vaguely knows in the online horror story circles.

5
Frogmanfromlake [none/use name] - 5mon

They’re funny because it takes a lot to become a skinwalker and there’s very few people who have made all the steps. The amount of stories and fake videos would have you believe the entire Navajo nation are skinwalkers.

Haven't posted here in a bit mostly thinking as soon as I post it'll get changed to a fresh one. Today's been nice, studying on my own and also spending time outside. The job search starts now that my training is over and I got what I hope are marketable skills. Got some big bills to look forward to catgirl-flop gotta help pull my family up and also deal with my own emotional baggage on the side.

This place is just as yankee chauvinist as I left it. Joke of a supposed "People of color" community.
You people will make all the excuses for a fascist soldier, but none for the victim.
