if you're a politically homeless trans communist in the UK, consider joining rs21 - they organised the trans rights demo in London today and are really solid

i hope there's no rule against this sort of thing - the CPB's vile reactionary line has been on the frontpage, and the comments had a bunch of people bemoaning the lack of a decent left org in the UK, so i thought it'd be worth mentioning that there is a worthwhile org out there (doubtless there are others too, but IMHO rs21 seem the best of the bunch IMHO!)

"rs21" stands for Revolutionary Socialism in the 21st Century. they're not a party per se, but several of their members have contributed to the "Party Question" series of articles published by Prometheus Mag in recent months, which is worth looking at if you don't follow Prometheus already.

rs21 is a Marxist organisation. We see the Russian Revolution as the highest point of working-class struggle and stand in the tradition of those who opposed the Stalinist counter-revolution.

from the about page on their website. based on some other of their articles they are solidly trotskyist, just fyi

How fucking difficult can it be to just have a communist party/organization that's ML, pro-trans, pro-China, and anti-NATO in the West. pain

A lot of ML parties in the UK have retained the "Queerness is bourgeois decadence" line, so most of the most ardently pro-trans communist parties in the UK lean trot.

It's very cool that they organized the trans rights demo in the UK today, but, it seems that their international line is unfortunately still very poor. They seem reflexively anti-China even to their own detriment. Here's to hoping they gain a better international line and fast, now is the time to organize a meaningful ML movement across the english speaking world.

It’s a very usual stance for trot orgs, which the UK seems completely dominated by.

i got excited seeing the post title, but as it turns out, 'politically homeless' is not here referring to anarchist squats or whatever, but instead just means you don't vibe with mainstream politics
