Verso Books' distributor implodes, Verso opens kickstarter to keep from going bankrupt in 10 days

I've read a few of their books over the years and greatly enjoyed them; like October by China MiƩville, Half-Earth Socialism by Drew Pendergrass and Troy Vettese, and How to Blow Up a Pipeline by Andreas Malm. Kickstarter seems to be going pretty well. I think I will support them by buying some ebooks.

First in the US Small Press Distributor went under (https://lithub.com/the-small-press-world-is-about-to-fall-apart-on-the-collapse-of-small-press-distribution)

And now in the UK United Independent Publishers is dead too. (https://www.publishersweekly.com/pw/by-topic/international/international-book-news/article/95541-marston-on-the-brink-of-administration-ipg-says.html)

Grim outlook for small presses of any kind. Not looking forward to an entirely monopolized publishing industry.

Pretty cool publisher. Recently I picked up Health Communism and A Short History of Trans Misogyny. I also really liked The Palestine Laboratory
