In rehab a couple years back I checked the director of the program because he said people with gender dysphoria shouldn't transition and should focus on AA instead. I told him that's hurtful and probably the reason why they're using is because of said dysphoria. He called me weird and said I should stop talking to trans people online

Yeah, don't talk to trans people or why they might be dealing with substance abuse, what would they know? Dysphoria has no relation to substance abuse issues, why would it ever? You should be visibly uncomfortable with yourself all the time, that will help curb your addiction

AA is a kkkristian cult

Does that mean the director thinks I need to start drinking alcohol?

We need to denormalize being straight and normalize grungling

This sounds like bizarro-world gamergate where it's the girls that started using marble statue pfps, which in turn implies that our world got all the girl grunglers

Mardoniush [she/her] - 2.1yr
Yeah. That said I get what they're talking about, bi-phobia is ubiquitous.

my partner is the assigned derek of her dnd group and it's been a delight honestly. she gay married two of our friends (t4c couple) earlier this year, and the whole group rocks. what i'm saying is, derek is very much the real winner for being able to be chill with his trans homies.

I do very much feel like the real winner you're right!
And I mean, I'm not het lol. But still. I am the token cis surrounded by a bunch of trans people in my life. Its been real nice. Helps that I'm dating two of them of course lol but still like, its been my new found family and its been real nice.

i wanna be clear that i did not intend to imply that you're cishet. i just meant that my spouse is her dnd group's "token cishet." I'm so excited that my kids will be raised around our very lovely, queer, anticapitalist found family.

its all good I didnt take anything from that. I sorta forgot that the post didnt specify het and thought I was clarifying from the post.
So cool to have kids get to be around that. My network of trans friends is online. Ive drifted from all irl friends at this point :/ but its still a nice support network.

ok, cool, just wanted to make sure i was respectful
yeah, my network of personal friends is also very online. i'm really grateful that my partner has found such a really excellent and cool found family in our actual city. two of our friends from the same group still have some of our stuff in their basement from when we moved like 9 months ago! friends really are what make living good.

I know it's actually a very toxic and damaging narrative but the mental images I have built up around the false idea of trans people seeking out cishets to befriend and "corrupt" them tends to amuse me.
Inviting them over to watch a movie but it's just two hours of sissy hypno.
Offering them some candy with estradiol secretly mixed in.
"Oops, sorry I spilled all over your clothes, but while it gets washed here's a cute little outfit I have lying around that's coincidentally your size!"

Imagine the level of gas lighting it would take to actually convince a cis person to transition. You'd need to have a cave allegory level of control over their world to have a chance of succeeding.

Luckily most outwardly cishet people have pre-built their own cave around them. Except Derek, who lives his life inhaling the raw pure light of reality. Impressive.

Yeah, look at how much trans people are gaslit into being cis, how much effort and ideological domination that takes, and it still doesn't work reliably to keep our eggs from cracking. Imagine trying to do that thing not as an entire society backed up with decades of transphobic propaganda and medical gatekeeping, but as a single catgirl trying against all odds to convince a guy who does not even feel constant alienation from masculinity and his body and who doesn't get gender euphoria from girl stuff, who lacks all the driving forces that help us push through, to go through the entire mess that is early transition.

it's actually really hard to treat trans people as human beings, you have to:
know what a person is
this is to many steps for most guys, only Derek has got it figured out
