To everyone else who has been dealing with family repeatedly misgendering or otherwise disrespecting them today:

I love you all and if anyone needs some affirmation in the comments, let me know. And if anyone could explicitly refer to me as a woman I would love that.

Kind lady, it's not so much that I'm dealing with the presence of a transphobic family. It's actually that I'm now dealing with the absence of a family period.

I spent Easter alone because I had to completely separate from my family due to their transphobia. I'm extremely invisible on this TDOV because I have no one to show myself to, no one who will embrace me with genuine support, care, and empathy, but thankfully, I did get at least some support from some trans Discord friends.

Due to my long history of exposing myself to exclusionary trans people, i.e. transmedicalists, sometimes, I'm skeptical if the concept of "TDOV" or "Trans Rights!" even includes me. I have a very trans experience, and I will always 100% identify as trans. but I'm non-binary, and that's enough for a lot of trans people to not really care about my rights. I don't even know if I can celebrate TDOV, at least not in the way I want to because I'm still confused as to whether or not it truly includes me, and that exclusion hurts too much for me to be happy about it.

Thanks so much, girl.

It absolutely does and I'll throw hands with anyone who says otherwise. Oppressed people will never win our freedom and dignity by betraying our own or others to our oppressors. We'd only get temporary superficial acceptance while we're useful. Not that I'd want to anyway.

I hope you find a good chosen family IRL to celebrate and be yourself with. Angels deserve family too.
