Can a user who signed up on Aussie.zone create communities on other instances?

The limited-scope focus of aussie.zone means it makes a lot of sense for new community-creation to be restricted on this instance. But is it possible for us to create communities on other instances? I’ve got a few interests that I’d love to see represented in the Threadiverse which currently aren’t, so I had thought to create them myself, but I can’t figure out how.

No, only users registered on an instance can create communities. They can moderate remote communities though.

I'm not entirely sure of the answer, but you can definitely have multiple accounts on different instances to get around any limitations.

No, but you can (and probably should) have accounts on more than 1 instance

Why?

I'll take a guess.

Defederation issues. Instance failing.

Example: beehaw defederated from the 2 big instances. Lodion, if we use aussie.zone as an example, wasn't 100% sure of aussie.zone's future.

Without account migration available like Mastodon has, having more than one account allows the full experience.

Edit: and the point of this thread, creating communities can be limited.

Exactly.

And Jerboa has multi-account support for other readers.

I also read that you can set up multiple PWA on your phone for each instance if that's required.
