In short: A 36-year-old man is being accused of being the head of a domestic crime network allegedly coordinating the import and distribution of cocaine.
It's alleged he was responsible for a failed plot to import 900kg of cocaine off Queensland's Moreton Island, which led to the drug washing up in NSW.
What's next? The man's matter has been mentioned in a Brisbane court, and was adjourned to next month.

Maybe I watched too many unrealistic crime shows, but I always thought that if you messed up a 900kg cocaine shipment, the cops would be the least of your worries...

Right?! I thought maybe someone dumped some shit overboard or something when I first heard about them washing up. Not “some dude lost almost a fucking tonne of coke off the coast” at that point I’d be hoping to get a conviction. Old mates in trouble one way or another that’s for sure.

It's not like the cartel can't get to him in prison. His only hope now is witness protection.
