Blockade Australia started the action with a woman who dangled herself from a rail bridge near the Kooragang Island terminals at the Port Of Newcastle at 7am, launching protests that followed in Brisbane and Melbourne

What's everyone opinion on protests like this? Imo this gets a decent message out there with pretty minimal impact to anything other than the businesses managing and utilising the port as well as emergency services.

It's apparently what people want, everytime protesters shut down roads there's the usual complains from the shock jocks and co:

Oh they're causing trouble for regular people it's just annoying they could have blocked an ambulance blah blah blah

Pretty hard to argue against protests like this though without looking like a corporate lapdog.
