I thought Good Omens was a decent (albeit not perfect) adaption of the book, but I am dubious about a second season. With no released sequel book(s) to work off and one of the original authors dead the show has to be making up a lot of their own material and I think there is a good chance of shark jumping occurring. Hopefully I'll be proved wrong on that when it releases.

The story goes that Gaiman and Pratchett worked out the plot structure for a sequel in a casual conversation. So there are bones of a story there.
For season 2, Gaiman has screenplay credits along with John Finnemore as well as being an executive producer.

Fingers crossed this is good. I think Crowley and Aziraphale are such good characters thanks to Pratchett’s and Gaiman’s writing, I wouldn’t even be mad if they turned the series into a detective agency show and solved mysteries every week.
