It's getting a bit warm out there, I need to start thinking about moving walks to the early morning or evening again.
After a great day yesterday I woke up late with a headache and feeling very blah. Going on a walk actually helped a bit, but I don't think I'll be doing much gardening today. I do have some meat packing to do for the freezer and some washing to bring in from the line. It might be a good day to do a bit more sorting in the sewing room too, I don't think my brain is up to actual sewing.

Apropos of nothing, I realised I ended up grabbing that US butter that has a very similar packaging to the Aussie stuff. I didn't realise until I saw people complaining about it and checked lol. I'll have to be more aware next time I buy butter.

What got the root of it out was the salicylic acid bandaids, they're pretty good! Much easier than applying the acid myself, and not as nausea inducing as that freeze pen I got for this lol

what we use on a daily basis they call "sweet cream" butter.
imo the best butter there is Land o Lakes and Whole Foods 365 home brand, it's from Wisconsin area and grass fed cows. The best milk is Horizon because same.
and our butter is EQUAL to any in the world, western star and devondale are awesome

I accidentally switched to Wednesday's thread and was wondering why it was so quiet.
I'm still feeling a bit blah with my headache/migraine but I've had a fairly productive day. I baked bread and made half a dozen breakfast muffins for the freezer. I made bacon bits to sprinkle on future salads (and made a very impressive catch of a bit of bacon rind which decided to randomly jump out of the frying pans and I grabbed it with my tongs mid-flight). I packaged up a bit more stuff for the freezer and made a start on a fish curry. I was going to have the curry for dinner (with some for the freezer too) but my stomach's feeling slightly unsettled so I stopped at the marinade step and will finish it tomorrow. I've started a pot of chicken with rice & vegies in the rice cooker instead.
I also did a thorough clean of the stove & rangehood (which was needed after spitting bacon fat everywhere. Whoever decided freestanding rangehoods were a good idea should not be allowed to design kitchens. All those extra hard-to-reach surfaces to get covered in dust and lots of thin metal sheeting to amplify the noise of the fan.
