There are some important points raised by some of the councillors, namely the excessive car spaces to the proximity of public transport (though they do note that it is only a bus line so I'd be curious about capacity) and the reduction of affordable housing.
But it is frustrating to see the local Greens councillor trying to block the development in its entirety. The constant blocking of new development results in both the state government removing decision-making from local council resulting in construction not in line with local development and it forces the government to push for larger developments because it worsens the already short housing supply.
