Waking up to heavy rain this morning. So nice. I am fully aware that if my plans for the day weren't primarily video games, I probably wouldn't be enjoying this so much.

Every weekend I plan to play video games, and every weekend I don't 🥲
I really miss getting stuck in to a good couple of hours of game time.

Woke up at 4:30am ready for a trip to the Sunshine Coast for a beagle walk... And it was cancelled because of the storms which were supposed to be appearing (side note: I hope they did or I'll be mad!)
Ended up going the other way to Pottsville to catch up with some beagle pals and go for a walk on the beach there instead.
We had 10 beagles total and ours frankly disgraced themselves with being very rowdy but that's on us - not enough trips out to public spaces. When you've got an acre or so of lawn the need for trips to the park is reduced a bit. Half a dozen beach trips a year probably isn't enough.

Your dogs are beautiful. I've always had a soft spot for Beagles for whatever reason. They're just damn good looking dogs.
As for heading to Pottsville, yeah that's quite a way to go. Certainly for me these days anyway. That kind of thing used to be quite fine for me but older age and having spent too much time on the M1 over the years has jaded me.
I'm an extreme home body these days. But hey, I've had plenty of adventures along the way. Happy that you're spontaneous to get out and about.
How is Pottsville anyway these days. I imagine there's been plenty of development since I was last there. ( Jesus, about 15 years maybe. Time flies and that gets scarier every day. )

Beagles are great. Its amazing going to a Beagle Club event where there are 100+ dogs, and there's no fights. You can't even have two staffies in the local park without things kicking off, but Beagles are too chill to fight.
Its about 90 minutes to Pottsville, all highway, so it's not a bad drive. Stick the cruise control on and just listen to some music for a bit. We're 90 minutes from the Sunshine Coast too so it was the same amount of drive anyway.
Mark my words - Pottsville is going to be the next Byron. I'm about 10 years too late to buy a cheap house down there and ride it to financial success, but if anyone has more money than I do I reckon it's a great place to buy in to. For one, its a lovely place to live... and for two, it'll either be a good rental short term with the aim to retire there, or it'll be a good place to sell when you are ready for retirement and make fat stacks to fund your old age.
