Wow. No one could have possibly seen this coming. =\

Australia has consistently chosen to do nothing; waiting for someone else to save the world for us. We've blamed other countries for the problems the world faces, and thus refused any responsibility - even despite our very high per-capital emissions plus enormous exported emissions.

And as things slowly slowly start to shift, such that other countries take up some of the responsibility that Australia has left on the ground, we now find that our economy is built on a burning platform. For many years people have talked about the Australia potential as a green-energy superpower... and yet somehow our efforts actually pull in the opposite direction - against headwinds.
