How understanding risk and resilience can help us target effective, child-sensitive climate investments
As climate change accelerates, children are disproportionately impacted due to their unique developmental characteristics. The climate crisis threatens children's immediate wellbeing and their futures, requiring targeted interventions to address needs. This event showcases how understanding climate risk specifically for children can drive effective investments which build resilience for children and their communities.

Won't be posting every recording they upload as an individual post. I'll try to put all the links in the thread for COP30 Australian Pavilion, or the youtube link to DCCEEW's YT channel is on that post as well.

Listened to just over half of this tonight, my takaway so far:
They haven't mentioned very early childhood effects of increasing average heat on bodily or neurological functions. I don't know why, but i thought that was where this discussion was heading.
The Fijian participant gives an interesting perspective on how kids/youths in Fiji are experiencibg a kind of forced adaptation to life with increased flooding and cyclones in the places they live.
I had a couple thoughts on the presentation while watching. Its pretty raw footage with lots of background noise, and these aren't professional media people. This second part has a nice side because your getting people's commentary from the field they actually have a little experience in, instead of an explanation from some journalist who brushed up on the topic the night before. But it also means those polished elements of presentation aren't always there, it makes it harder to focus on what they're saying.
