Having a slow start to the day. On my second coffee.
But now off to help a mate with a VERY heavy kitchen bench top. Rather thick stone stuff. Takes four blokes to lift using slings.
It's now in place but we just have to lift it, get the edges cleaned up then silicon and drop it down again.
There will be three of us.
It's a used kitchen that my mate bought. It's in great condition. It was $50,000 originally. Some of it is 18 years old. He got it for $4000 or $5000.
Well worth it.
I need a pie first though.
What are your plans for the weekend ?
Edit. Mate reckons it's about 300 kgs

I had a mate's 30th last night, didn't leave until 1. Got an uncle's 70th tonight, don't anticipate being out quite so late this time!

Jesus fuck. 3 of you taking 100 kg each?

Haha. Nice work in the celebrations.
Well today all we had to do was lift it a little in order to clean up the edges then slide it into place.
Two of us lifted one side while the other placed some spacers underneath. My arms were shaking.

I replaced a 20+ year old upright freezer today, on my own because I am a strong independent woman who don't need no man. Delivered by Appliances Online during the week - really can't fault those dudes. You buy it, and then it turns up! I haven't been inside an appliances store in years.
Dog food and chiko rolls are safe once again.
About to go for a quick drive to the other side of town for some ice cream. This is the silly things you can do with an EV cause it costs basically nothing to run.
