I don't know why but so many seem confident we're going to get some pretty strong storms tonight:
Brisbane's western and southern suburbs and regions could be looking at a potentially significant outbreak of isolated but very strong severe thunderstorms tonight. I expect the strongest activity to occur after 4PM in the afternoon and out to about 6:30PM, with the strongest storm cells likely around Ipswich, Gatton and the Wivenhoe Dam. Very dangerous severe thunderstorms with large hailstones, heavy rainfall and destructive wind gusts are also a possibility this afternoon and evening.
