Question of the day: When you take the old sheets off the bed do you refer to that as "stripping"? As in I've stripped the bed ready for the new sheets to go on later or do you call it something else or never thought about it.

I call it "stripping". I suppose "changed the bed sheets" works as well, but I use "strip/stripping" 99% of the time.
5
melbaboutown - 2mon
Yeah I strip the bed and then with fresh linen I make the bed. (Though thatโs meant to refer to putting it back in order in the morning. Maybe it should be make up the bed.) Or I simply โchange the sheets/beddingโ

4

The other thing I've noticed with induction is that it doesn't seem to cause things like porridge or eggs to cook onto the bottom of the pan as much. I've got a gas stove here but use an induction hotplate for a lot of my cooking because it just works better. I also just use a stovetop kettle on it for boiling water, I don't have an electric kettle.

My induction absolutely needs a soak for porridge because of a skin stuck to the bottom. It's a very cheap hob rather than an actual stove top.

Thank you for the heads up!! I checked them out, scored a $2.99 diary... then also picked up a handbag, key chain, mini cooler bag and a dressing gown, lol.
I don't know how there are so many stores and how they stay open, they're just full of random cheap crap
It felt so strange, zero cohesion between their range. Is it art, knick knacks, fashion or homeware? Either way, love my spoils, so thank you!
I watched 15 minutes of Judgement at Nuremberg and already started to yell at the telly
time for a walk at the beach
but neighbour 2 doors down is having a garage sale and I got a heap of stuff for the young seagoons for when they come, it can all go in the garage for now

Seeing as at least one person in all of my circles has been to Japan, I'm wondering if anyone here has been as well?
Yes! Iโve been a couple of times, last time in 2023. You should mostly definitely go if you have the opportunity. Plus itโs almost 100 yen to every $1 at the moment, thatโs the highest Iโve ever seen it. You can live it up at that exchange rate.
Awesome! Whereabouts did you go?
Yes, twice and can't wait to go again! Highly highly recommend!!
Ooh yay, where did you go and where do you want to visit next?
I've been to Tokyo and Osaka (and some random day trips out of both). There's soooo many places I'd love to go. Okinawa, Hokkadio, would love to bike along the Shimanami Kaido, take an overnight ferry, properly see Mt Fuji, visit Kamikochi. There's so much!
I'd also really just love to eat 7-Eleven onigiri again.
Yup. Didn't plan for it but it was cherry blossom season too!
Ooh lovely!
Melbcat had a recheck and thereโs still issues. Sample sent off, antibiotic being ordered in.
Iโm feeling stressed.
