Such a lovely warm evening. I have been sitting in my back courtyard, discussing a perfectly ripe avocado, a perfectly ripe brie and crackers with a glass of crisp cold white wine. To follow is the last gasp of cherry glykos I made last year with some icecream. Life gets no better.
Helth (and vegetables) can happen tomorrow.

No.

I have had two work related interactions today (both via chat) and am ready to start punching people.
Chose to WFH so at least my rage is contained.

Keep it professional mate. Feel your pain though. I've had two people (so far) wanting to know if we have signed copies of documents that we drew up and sent to their previous accountant over 15 years ago. We sent them unsigned and have had nothing further to do with them once they've bought the documents. Kill me now. Better idea - kill THEM now.

I always keep it professional. Just like venting online ๐
Deep down I still have expectations, low ones, of my colleagues and they never cease to amaze me with their ability to go even lower.

I've also done some work on my irrigation system. Which involved turning on the tap to see what happened and spraying myself with water by mistake. I appears there are pop-up sprinklers in the front lawn that are a bit hard to see in amoungst all the grass, and now I just need to work out how to operate the timer.

I had an existing irrigatia c60 I've just today - wanted to get in before the rain so I could refill the final tank - mounted on a 630l tank system (which is itself topped up by a 2500l system, see here) and run some 13 ml to weepers looped around the two main apple and the pear tree. Still gotta conduit and trench it, but it's powering all of them strongly.

par for the course there's a tiiiiny drip leak on link to the tap that only shows up when they start hitting 75% capacity. Before the shutoff and past the barrel union. Of course. (every other tank has a shutoff and barrel union so I can take any tank out I like and keep going, but of course the last one just goes straight into the shutoff connected to the pump. So I'll have to drain the little shit before re-taping the threads. When I can be arsed.)

I've aquired my mulch and some potting mix. I had a look at the plants while I was there, I've never seen a Bunnings with such a neglected garden section. A lot of underwatered and sick plants, and the lime trees I was looking for were all completely dead. The store was also a bit of a mess, empty shelves, things blocking aisles and empty trolley bays. Not at all impressed.

I am so done with studying and just want a job now. I really do enjoy learning and think that what I'm learning about is useful and important, but writing essays is shitting me. I am not a very strong writer.
Yet part of me wants to change to a different course which will be more studying? But I'm thinking of doing something more quantitative and/or practical.
Maybe I should become a careers practitioner so I can help people in the same position as me. There isn't an awful lot of progression / full time employment opportunities, but it's not impossible to score something.
It's almost 5am here and I'm wide awake lol may I please have a P H A T cappuccino and a bananananana?

4

What kind of mulch did you get?
2
Rusty Raven - 3mon
Just some sugarcane. Unfortunately the cheaper one I wanted to get only had one pack left - which turned out to be partly due to the lady in front of me in the checkout who had three of them! I did a few of a different brand. I'm also planning to get some cheap eucalytus bulk mulch delivered for the section I'm putting the native plants in, when the weather looks likely to cooperate for long enough.

So I wanted to initalise an SSD I got for my Bazzite laptop that it's not reading. In the process I removed the wrong SSD, the one that has the OS on it. Now it's not recognising any SSD and isn't booting.
Is it possible to get the SSD back and and keep going as normal or will I need to reinstall? It's only a small inconvenience if I have to reinstall the OS, I'd just like to save the time if I can.
3
Gibsonhasafluffybutt - 3mon
Is it not detecting the ssd in bios?
3
tombruzzo - 3mon
It's not picking up anything bootable. I can't find a way to check what storage it can detect, all it says is the two nvme slots are on
3
Gibsonhasafluffybutt - 3mon
Maybe the hdd header is corrupt.
2
tombruzzo - 3mon
I've stuck a drive with Mint on it in the laptop and it can to.d the blank uninitialised SSD but not the original one that has bazzite on it. I was able to buy this laptop off work because the drive was failing. Maybe taking it out finally killed it off.
I'll tinker around some more and see if I can get back what I have, otherwise I just have to reflash bazzite and download my games again
