Off and away out of town again for the birthday of an old family friend. Not sure of the wisdom of being in Brisbane on the same day as the Lions in the final AND the Broncos playing a home semi in the NRL .... At least I am getting really good at this travel malarkey again. I used to travel a lot in an old job but I had gotten rusty.

In 2016 I went to the Grand Final. My team was playing for the first time in the GF since Iโd been alive but I wasnโt a member, basically impossible for general public to get a ticket. I saw a ticket advertised for sale at like 1pm on the day on a fan group on Facebook. It was about 20% more than the cost price. In hindsight, most people probably thought it was a fake but it was a physical ticket and paying in person outside the MCG, I thought that seemed safe. Got to my seat around midway through the first quarter, so missed all the pre-game stuff. But then my team won and it was just such an incredible atmosphere and great day. I wonโt forget it.

We saw Dracula! It was interesting! The music was a jukebox of classical pieces. The Brides, Dracula and the Wife were amazing, the Husband was great but a little wooden compared to the rest. Fantastic use of lighting and great set pieces. There was sadly less cape tossing than I was hoping for!
The crowd was amazing though, so many fantastic outfits.
At the hot pot place we saw a performance of face changing and it was so well done!
2
Seagoon_ - 3mon
That sounds really interesting and modern. ๐
I think in the original story the husband is meant to be repressed.
2
SpinMeRound - 3mon
That's an interesting point!! It was more that he was very focused on the dance and when he was interacting with others you could tell he was paying attention to where his hands were. However he was still great to watch!

So today I managed 11,522 steps and most of that was done while watching the TV. I was determined to not sit idle so I grabbed some small hand weights and did some of the step exercises from the routines I've done that I don't mind. I basically did that on and off all day, whenever I was in the lounge room and while watching the Grand Final. My kids are used to me doing odd things so they didn't think anything of it lol. Also I don't really want to become a calorie counter but I'm starting to learn how much exercise it takes to burn the kilojoules and it makes me more conscious of whether I'll have that lamington/licorice allsorts or not. My clothes are starting to fit differently and I'm really pumped for that!

Itโs been 3 days since the antibiotic shot and Melbcat is still sore :( Iโve given her medicine and cuddles which seem to have helped. The vet says to call back Monday if sheโs not feeling better.
Iโm still fighting urges to kidnap the black cat. I do think heโs possibly someoneโs neglected free range pet though, as there was a parted line in his neck fur where a collar used to be and his fur wasnโt patchy or sparse (as happens when a cat is very malnourished).
Iโm hoping that the weird protrusion I felt in his upper back that made me worry about his spine was a microchip. ๐ค Iโll be watching him and trying to get a better look over to see if he stays healthy or something indicates he does need help.
If I could know for sure that he isnโt receiving flea and worm medication at home (unlikely to be happening) I could possibly try to dab him with one of Melbcatโs spot ons. They look to be similar weights. I have to be careful not to get attacked though.
For large cats like him and her the tube has a lot more liquid than standard, so needs to be put on in a few different spots or it dribbles off. This takes longer and requires more handling, and some cats do react violently to the application.
Also if heโs constantly outside eating rats and birds and rolling in the dirt, I wonder if heโd just quickly get reinfested.

Lots of dark chocolate blocks are dairy free, including some Lindt and Aldi ones. No substitutes in them, just dairy free because itโs dark choc.
4
Catfish - 3mon
Exactly. My choc taste kicks in at about 70%. 85 is perfect.
3
melbaboutown - 3mon
If youโre talking about Aldi Choceur theyโve added milk powder to the dark one now. I checked the flavours a little while ago and didnโt see one without dairy.
The Old Gold 70% has a small amount added too as does the Coles Belgian dark chocolate block and the generic cooking chocolate blocks.
The very dark Lindt chocolates in the thin blocks might be a safe bet but I still like a little fatty creaminess to the dark chocolate and these ones are a little sharp and dry.
There is Sweet William dairy free chocolate but it contains inulin which can trigger symptoms.
There are the vegan ones but expensive. Loving Earth taste waxy with the coconut oil.
Iโd have to say the Vego bar is the tastiest dairy free chocolate bar if you can find it
