StudSpud The Starchy - 3mon

9am and we're at the beach, it's packed AF here already.

Perthians are a different breed - but I'm also hungover lol. Least the 5g here is WORKING

Bottom_racer - 3mon

Photo of beach plz and thankyou :)

Looking at the perth forecast.. little bit jelly.

5
StudSpud The Starchy - 3mon

I have more but this includes the beach name :)

9
Bottom_racer - 3mon

Oooh nice!

4
SpinMeRound - 3mon

Looks so gorgeous! Ripper day!

3
Seagoon_ - 3mon

very nice ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

3
SpinMeRound - 3mon

Beach is the best cure for a hangover!

4
Force_majeure123 - 3mon

Patiently waiting for Coles roast chook to be ready.... Already got the rest of my groceries... I feel awkward ๐Ÿ—

9
Force_majeure123 - 3mon

The oven has opened

7
Force_majeure123 - 3mon

The chicken has left the coop

8
Force_majeure123 - 3mon

The chicken is flying home to roost ๐Ÿ“

7
CEOofmyhouse56 - 3mon

Has the chicken been devoured yet?

5
Force_majeure123 - 3mon

Let's just say: if it tries flying anywhere, it'll go in a circle

7
CEOofmyhouse56 - 3mon

6
Catfish - 3mon

Oops! lego Death Star

8
tombruzzo - 3mon

Just don't look at the back of this one

3
Catfish - 3mon

Yeah, I imagine the back will be pretty much solid grey nothing

2
tombruzzo - 3mon

It is. It's not like that 360 basketball one that originally came out

2
Gibsonhasafluffybutt - 3mon

I sounded like a real drummer for about 2 minutes!!!!!

Switching grooves mid bar, decent fills and my left hand isnโ€™t being a dumbass lol

I feel like I levelled up last night ๐Ÿฅ

Now I just need to practice with the metronome every time lol

Edit: also Ong Bak is the greatest Muay Thai film of all time!

8
Bottom_racer - 3mon

I tried to play the triangle at school once and couldn't even do that lol.

Have you mapped something like addicitive drums or SD3 etc. to the kit?

5
Rusty Raven - 3mon

I spoke to the percussioninsts from the MSO once, they said the triangle is actually one of the hardest instruments to do really well. So you should never feel shame at not mastering such a difficult instrument!

6
Bottom_racer - 3mon

ohh.. that makes me feel a bit better heh.

5
CEOofmyhouse56 - 3mon

You gotta start with the maracas before you can master the triangle.

4
Gibsonhasafluffybutt - 3mon

Man I had zero musicality till I was like 16ish.

Yep mapped superior to it. It already has a preset for the kit so itโ€™s all mapped with velocity zones.

But today Iโ€™m going to try mapping Battery or a cinematic drums kontakt instrument.

That will hopefully be fun as fuck!

3
Bottom_racer - 3mon

Ooh nice. that's handy with the mapping. I've only tried toontracks EZ drummer. Apparently people reckon SD4 might be out 2026 which I'm sure will be on AN a few days after release lol.

3
Gibsonhasafluffybutt - 3mon

Itโ€™ll be there before it officially releases hahaha

Superior is amazing. The expansions are like 60+gig each and some are over 100gb.

Itโ€™s got a great groove pool which you can click on a kit with the mouse and itโ€™ll try to find grooves like what you did.

But it doesnโ€™t have the ezdrummer 3 feature where it can play along with you.

3
Alamutjones - 3mon

Prelim day. Iโ€™m nervous already

8
CEOofmyhouse56 - 3mon

Good luck AJ and have a great time at the game.

6
Seagoon_ - 3mon

7
Seagoon_ - 3mon

5
Gibsonhasafluffybutt - 3mon

Made a huge breakthrough with drums last night!

So gym, music most of the day and then see what the weather is like tonight for going out. Hopefully warms up a bit.

Enjoy your day โค๏ธ

7

Taleya - 3mon

Finished off the back repointing after work last night, now to see if I can be arsed to drag all the accoutrements out of the brewery, then scrub down the walls we repointed a couple weeks ago and get ready to paint.

After my tea.

5
Taleya - 3mon

After my tea I have decided I want another cup of tea.

Forgot a poo bag and only realised when doge started sniffing around. Turned it into a short run instead of a walk, and fortunately no bowel movements were made. Haven't really ever run before, and so I'm considering doing C25k. Dog likes running, maybe he would want to join too. I think the fun in him walking though is sniffing stuff.

5
Force_majeure123 - 3mon

I think I'll watch my first footy game of the season. Who are we rooting for?

5
Bottom_racer - 3mon

Oh it's collingwood.

I'm rooting for dentists.

*ducks for cover.

Who wants to play find the sniper?

5

I see it, right there โ˜๏ธ

3

Well spotted!

Turns out Iโ€™ve been feeding more than the birds

3
Rusty Raven - 3mon

I braved the wind to spread out a couple more bales of mulch. Miss Meow helped (well, she was outside at the same time I was, which is close enough for a cat). I'm going to need a lot more mulch than I thought I would, I very much miscalculated how much coverage I would get.

I bought a handmade hand painted large pottery jug from the op shop last week, 6 bucks. I just thought it was painted so beautifully. I'm not kidding.

I finally deciphered the signature underneath. G Irvine. No clue who that is. Looked it up. ๐Ÿคฏ

here's a pic, tho it's hard t see the beauty of it, how the painting uses the shape of the jug.

Greg was a mate of my mum - they shared art classes and he used to come to dinner at our place back when I was a kid. His work is quite collectable, so I think you've scored a win here. Could be worth a few hundred dollaries at auction.

Perth: where every second person drives an American truck or giant 4wd monstrosities, brand new, yet don't use the aircon. ๐Ÿ’€
