There are parts of the Newcastle tram line that cars share a lane with the tram. It's lazy bs that in these areas, bikes are told not to ride on that road. 0:20 showed someone (who was admittedly riding in an unshared part of the tramway) get their wheels caught in the tram tracks, which is the problem to be solved. Solutions to this exist:
Newcastle Transport just can't be bothered with it. Easier to slap a "no bikes" sign and call it a day.
I genuinely don't know what the moron at 0:13 was thinking. They must've had a red light, in addition to the giant red moving object coming straight towards them.
