I am intrigued as to what you do. I'm unsure if you have mentioned it before ? And what is a "partial start" ?
I can think maybe retail or food providers or some kind. Although a job in health could involve those hours.

This weekend you could call me a broadcast engineer doing live sport, and the 8am is just pretty much a line check and turn the feeds on, 10am is the official start of the broadcast and event

Yes fair enough mate. It's still a lot better than a lot of jobs but I do hear you.
A thing that stuck with me from many years ago that I read. Being an airline pilot sounds like a good job until you become an airline pilot.
Ever since then I thought yeah it's like a glorified bus driver. I'm sure the "travel" is fantastic at first, just like when I've worked away from home a few times in my life as an electrician.
